Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of lumensmooth.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make from it. The Site is operated by MAMASAMBA BALDE, trading as "LUMÈN" ("LUMÈN", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to purchase from us.
2. Products, descriptions and pricing
We try to describe and price products accurately, but we do not warrant that descriptions, imagery, or pricing are error-free. All prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and may change at any time. Where an obvious error occurs, we may cancel or correct the order and refund any amount paid.
3. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline any order, and may limit or cancel quantities, at our discretion. A contract is formed when we confirm dispatch of your order.
4. Payment
Payments are processed by our third-party providers (for example Shopify Payments, Klarna, Shop Pay, PayPal). By submitting payment details you confirm you are authorised to use the payment method.
5. Shipping and refunds
Delivery is covered by our Shipping Policy and refunds by our Refund & Returns Policy, which form part of these Terms. Our 90-night satisfaction guarantee lets you keep the device on approved refund claims — see the Refund & Returns Policy for the full terms.
6. Safety, intended use and health disclaimer
Important — please read. The LUMÈN device is an intense pulsed light (IPL) cosmetic hair-reduction device for home use. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
- Always read and follow the instruction manual and safety guidance supplied with the device.
- IPL works best on darker hair and is not suitable for all hair colours or skin tones. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.
- Do a patch test first. Do not use on broken, irritated, tattooed, or sunburned skin, or over moles.
- Consult a qualified doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a skin condition, are taking medication that affects light sensitivity, or have any medical concern.
- Discontinue use and seek medical advice if you experience an adverse reaction.
Any results, timeframes, or statistics mentioned on the Site are illustrative, reflect typical use, and are not a promise of the results you will achieve.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, images, graphics, logos, and design — is owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and products are provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your non-excludable statutory consumer rights.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to any order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. This does not remove any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the laws of your country or US state of residence.
